The Jeannette Richard Benefit Scholarship Fund was established at the time of her death to support students, active in, or accepted to, a Nursing Program.
Purpose: To provide financial support to a student accepted in to or enrolled in an accredited Nursing Program (LPN, RN, BSN).
- Deadline for scholarship applications is March 1st by 5:00 pm. No exceptions.
- Criteria for eligibility are listed below.

- Type or print application, illegible or incomplete applications will be rejected.
- You will be notified by March 28th of the awardee.

- This is a non-renewable scholarship; it must be applied for each year.
- Scholarship funds will be awarded directly to the school, college, or university financial aid office.
- Scholarships will only be awarded after enrollment in, or acceptance to, an accredited Nursing Program (LPN, RN, BSN), is verified
Criteria:
- Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Applicant must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an accredited Nursing Program (LPN, RN, BSN).
- Applicant must exhibit a positive impact and active involvement in their academic and clinical education, as described by a minimum of two and a maximum of five letters of recommendation, with at least one letter from an academic supervisor, teacher, professor, counselor, not an RA, etc.
- Applicant must show a commitment to excellence in the practice of nursing as expressed in a succinct personal essay.
